APOLOGY DENIED

It seems that my last article about Afghanistan has caught some attention. I received a note earlier from Afghanistan in the General Assembly that said,

“To the IPC
The IPC stated that Afghanistan wanted to “Engulf the population in western ways.” Afghanistan does not remember stating this and only remembers stating that the whole of Afghanistan’s population needs to follow the constitution, including the Taliban. Afghanistan would like an apology.”

Apology… DENIED! If you, my dear reader, do not believe that is an exact quote, come to the IPC room and I can show you the note.

Dear delegate, I have a witness to what you said! I even started the interview by asking what you meant when you said “We should engulf the population in Western ways,” and you answered! You did not deny saying it at the time; how cowardly of you to try and lie your way out of blame! I think that a certain Afghanistan delegate is being influenced by other countries on what she is supposed to do and say.

I am only the press, sharing with everyone else what I see and hear, and what I saw was an Afghan delegate without a backbone, and what I heard was that delegate suggesting ideas that go against what her people believe in. So, I refuse to apologize for anything. In fact…

Afghanistan delegate of the General Assembly, I want you to apologize for accusing me of falsifying information, and for lying about your statements!
